Day 2 - Weekend Furlough Granted

The docs did decide to set Natalee free for the weekend, so after the PET scan (right about now) they will head up to Emanuel to check out and then will go and enjoy the weather. They are excited to have a nice quiet weekend with their family. They continue to express their gratitude for all the love and support, plus Natalee is excited to read the comments posted on her blog. Thank you all very much!

By the way, Janna (who is home from her freshman year of college) is looking for a summer job to help pay for her schooling, so if anyone knows of any openings, please let us know. I'm going to add my two cents and say that she is a delightful, talented young woman who I would offer a job to in a heartbeat - too bad she wasn't here during tax season :-).

Hi Natalee! It's Mrs. Parra. I want to let you know that I am thinking of you and feeling so glad I got to be your 4th grade teacher! I have the picture of our class from two years ago up with my others and smiled at you today! Let me know if you need any good books to read and I'd love to send one your way. I am praying for you.

Hugs!

You should get ginger. It's supposed to help with chemotherapy.
Again, get better.

Hello Walton Family. This is Ron & Debbie Menconi. We are praying for you and will fast this Sunday. A couple years ago for the Stake activities days event the girls did a service Project for the Childrens Cancer Assn painting some hearts to be given away.
We have been very close to this organization that is Based here out of Portland. Through G.I. Joe's we helped raise Funds together for CCA.
I have sent a message to Regina Ellis the CEO and founder of CCA and told them about Natalee. You can and I would recommend that you look at Children's Cancer Assn Web site and feel free to contact them. They are a wonderful resource of information and support. You should hear from them but if you do not soon go ahead and call them, ask for Regina Ellis and mention our names as those who Recommneded CCA. Our thoughts and Prayers are with you!

Natalee,

Have a great weekend! After all they have put you through this past week, you deserve it so “go for the gusto!” Know that we are pulling for you and praying for you in hopes that the things you are facing well be short and that you will be back in the swing of things’. Keep a positive attitude; it will be important in your recovery. By the by, if you need me to smuggle in ice cream or stuff like that, let me know :-) Of course as slow as I am, you might need a glass and a straw to eat it! Oh, well.

Kent and Sherri,

What can we do? Let us know. As you know, I am retired so I can usually rearrange my time to help with whatever you need: running, doing, delivering, carting, carrying, calling, or just an ear to unload on. You have my cell and I am seldom without it. You’re in both our prayers and our thoughts. I’ll even bring you ice cream and a straw!Den

Hi! I hope you post a new enterie soon so we cna keep everyone in A House and everyone that is worrying, hoping and praying for you. I hope ( as you may notice I hope alot lol) that your break and weekend away from the hospital was a fun and spent with the family in the sun. You enspire me that even though that all your going through, you are brave and strong. I wouldn't want to be poked and prodded, either! DOn't blame you! But it will all do you good in the end, right? So keep on inspiring people, and we all love you! Keep on updating the blog, because i check very often for updates. Great music playlist by the way~great song taste! Hope you keep on getting better at Rack-O! have you made any friends at the hospitakl yet? Just think...you may meet a great friend there! The hospital may never be home away from home, but try to make it like that as best you can!
Sending Love From CMS,
Courtney T. 6A
P.S. Now, when ever im sick and think i have it hard, I will ***Always*** Think of you! And i will forever. I will never forget your story, or you, Natalee. YOU ROCK! (even though you may not feel like you do lol)

Natalee,
This is Sister Woodruff. I helped your mom in Young Womens a few years ago and then we moved to Bakersfield CA. It's really hot here and we miss your family very much. Your picture looks great! You are growing up so very much. I hope you had a wonderful day away from the hospital. Tell your mom and dad hi for us.

We're praying for you all the way down here in California. All my love, Sister Kristi Woodruff
