Day 7

Great news!  The doctor called this morning and they have surgery scheduled for tomorrow (Thursday May 21).  Natalee will be admitted back into the hospital this afternoon around 2 pm to do pre-surgical preparations and diagnostics.

The surgery is a big one, and is expected to take several hours (4-5).  Sherri didn't remember if they told her the exact time, but I think it will be first thing in the morning (I always had to be at the hospital at 5 am for a 7 am surgery - ick!).

We'd like to ask if those who can would be willing to fast again tomorrow during the surgery.   The procedure tomorrow is a very important step in helping Natalee to beat the cancer, so we'd love to have everyone united in faith and healing prayers and positive images.  We're envisioning the tumor sticking to itself and withdrawing from her healthy tissue so that the doctors have an easy time removing it.

We are hoping to post more pictures of Natalee, especially recent ones, so if you have some that you could email to me, I'd love to post them here.  What Natalee would really like are pictues of her with her friends, so send me them as attachments as possible.  My email address is joanna.wilbur@gmail.com.

Natalee, I want you to know how much you are in our hearts; we are all praying for you night and day and all the time in between.  Quite literally, nearly everyone that I know is praying for you in one form or another.  I can't say that I know how you are feeling, but I can say that I know how much you are loved, not just by your family and friends and acquaintances and community, but by your Heavenly Father.  We are all priviledged to walk a portion of this journey with you and be part of your support group, and just think of the party that we'll have when you are all better!   You'll do great with the surgery and I can't wait to show you all the fun things we are planning for you during recovery time.  You definitely have a lot of great things to look forward to!

I just know that you are going to pull through this just fine. This morning I was praying a long time for you, envisioning you completely healed and the doctors all scratching their heads, being blown away at how miraculously you had beat the cancer. :-) When I was done praying my alarm clock radio went off and the song "I Will Survive" was playing! I took that as a confirmation from God that you are going to be just fine.

Tonight Charlie and Ellie and I will be lighting a vigil candle for you and sending prayers of healing to you. We are envisioning your surgery being very successful and you coming home very soon!

Ok, so to explain Melissa's, Melissa, Andrea and I are working on a project and we began to think of you! Weird, I dont know how Venezuela had to deal with you getting better, but we sneaked up and checked on your site, and we got really giddy with excitetment and started jumping that your surgery is soon! We had to wait a few minutes to tell mrs. johnson, and she didn't even care that we went off the venezuela.com (which there IS!) to check on you! That would be great if we got ne photo's, but sorry i dont have any! So I hear you don't like jig saw puzzles...neither do i! it takes to much time and concentration which i generally dont have! So, what kinds of things do you like? I was hoping you could post a comment your self about how your doing instead of hearing it from someone else. I am praying with all my heart that your surgery goes well, and i am very nervous but have a good feeling about it! Just keep thinking good thoughts, and i hope they put you to sleep so you can have a nice dream!
Sending Good Lucko!

I am so sorry!
I am in a video that is going to be sent to you and I didn't quite know what to say. It was more of I didn't know how to say what I wanted to more than I didn't now what to say. I'm deeply sorry and slightly want you to fast forward past me.

Embarrassedly yours, Nicholas Knapper

Hi Natalee,
Good luck with your surgery and I hope your recovery is quick. I dropped something off for you tonight at Joanna Wilbur's house. The problem was the lady who answered the door was not Joanna and I was at the wrong house. She said there was a junior high kid living up the street, so eventually I found Zack's abode (I just learned that word in language arts). Ms. Lorentz would be so proud. :> Anyway, I miss you very much and lets go get a slurpee when you feel better! I'll even buy you a 48 oz. Just give me time to cash in some pop cans. I love you!
