Day 8 - Natalee's Prayer

Sherri asked me to post these scriptures that she is referring to as Natalee's Prayer:

Psalms 55: 1, 4-6 & Psalms 57: 1-3
Give ear to my prayer, O God; and hide not thyself from my supplication.
My heart is sore pained within me: and the terrors of death are fallen upon me.
Fearfulness and trembling are come upon me, and horror hath overwhelmed me.
And I said, Oh that I had wings like a dove! for then would I fly away, and be at rest.

Be merciful unto me, O God, be merciful unto me: for my soul trusteth in thee: yea, in the shadow of thy wings will I make my refuge, until these calamities be overpast.
I will cry unto God most high; unto God that performeth all things for me.
He shall send from heaven, and save me from the reproach of him that would swallow me up. Selah. God shall send forth his mercy and his truth.

Specifically today, when praying for Natalee in surgery we do want to ask that your prayers include a blessing that Natalee's main artery that leads into her organs will be shielded from the surgeons knives.  The risk of hemorrhaging is high and we want her to be as protected as possible.

We know that several large groups of people are fasting today, the missionaries at the MTC (Missionary Training Center) in Provo, the youth of the Summerlake Ward as well as many families, friends and caring people from all over the United States.  Thank you for being there for Natalee & her family when they need you the most.  This type of service is anonymous and the most greatly appreciated since it is truly a sacrifice in behalf of someone else.  Please know how grateful we are, and we know that you will be blessed for the sacrifices that you are making.

As updates are available, I will absolutely post the minute I know anything.

Hola,
All around school are poters saying Miracle Minute, Fight With Natalee!

I'm HOPING they mean fight WITH you.

Hey Natalee,This is Margo, again. Like Nicholas said there were posters saying all kinds of things like Miracle Minute! Fight with Natalee! And other stuff I can't remember right now. And ALL over the school, like in the commons, on the stage, in the halls, at least A house, I'm not sure about the othere houses, on those huge windows in between the halls, right by the library, EVERYWHERE! And just to let you know, every one reads your blog. I'm sure of this fact. So probibly as soon as word comes out of the out come of the surgery Everyone will already know. Plus, WHEN the surgery will work, notice how I said WHEN, our class will probibly have a big party in honner of you. By the way, after the surgery how long will you have "resting time"? Sorry, just wonndering if you can make it for the last day of school, you know, to get signichers and all that. But don't worry, I bet they'll have your year book and everyone will be able to sign it, and they could just mail it to you. You will probibly get a special-edition year book. Now you have even more to look forward to.

Wishing you health and happyness, and a whole ton of luck, Margo ;-]

SICK

"I cannot go to school today,"
Said little Peggy Ann McKay,
"I have the measles and the mumps,
A gash, a rash, and purple bumps.
My mouth is wet, my throat is dry,
I'm going blind in my right eye.
My tonsils are as big as rocks,
I've counted sixteen chicken pox
And there's one more--that's seventeen,
And don't you think my face looks green?
My leg is cut, my eyes are blue--
It might be instamatic flu.
I cough and sneeze and gasp and choke,
I'm sure that my left leg is broke--
My hip hurts when I move my chin,
My belly button's caving in,
My back is wrenched, my ankle's sprained,
My 'pendix pains each time it rains.
My nose is cold, my toes are numb,
I have a sliver in my thumb.
My neck is stiff, my voice is weak,
I hardly whisper when I speak.
My tongue is filling up my mouth,
I think my hair is falling out.
My elbow's bent, my spine ain't straight,
My temperature is one-o-eight.
My brain is shrunk, I cannot hear,
There is a hole inside my ear.
I have a hangnail, and my heart is--what?
What's that? What's that you say?
You say today is---Saturday?
G'bye, I'm going out to play!"

~Shel Silverstein~

love this poem!

Hey Pickle!!! It's me Madeline... again! I missed you at school today (Like always), but some cool stuff happened. There is this new "Miracle Minute" fundraiser they're doing (meaning action council). I don't know that much about it but it sounds pretty cool! I miss you and love you and I hope your surgery went well!

Natalee, you may not know me very well, but I felt that I should leave a comment. I hope you get better in time for you to go to Girls Camp. By the way, my name is Cassie. I will be going to Girls Camp too. Maybe I will see you. You are in my prayers, and I am glad you are getting better. We are making a basket for you with interesting things going in every day. I hope you like it. Every one in my ward has at least heard about you, and everyone is very happy that your surgery went well. I hope you continue to do better, and every one I know is sending their prayers to you. I know that prayers work because when my brother went to the hospital, a lot of people prayed for him and he got better. I have a good feeling that this will happen to you also. Good luck and best wishes from me.I know that He will watch over you when times are tough. Have a lot of strength, because you need it. I can't wait to see you this summer.
From, Cassie
